The difference is that the pads for your feet and the place you rest your bottom (really, your hamstrings) are at the same level, about 3½ feet off the ground. Starting in a sitting position, secure your legs under the pad, rest the weight of your body on the pad under your hamstrings and bend backwards until your fingers touch the ground behind you.
